King Joins Component Hardware Group – CANADA

Lakewood, N.J. ­– February 20, 2017 ­– Component Hardware Group, Inc. (CHG), a leading manufacturer of premium plumbing, hardware and specialty products for commercial, foodservice, institutional and healthcare applications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve King as branch manager of its Canadian office in Markham, Ontario. In his new role, King will report directly to Component Hardware Executive Vice President for Sales, Ed Whartnaby.

“We are proud to have Steve come on board to lead our sales efforts in Canada,” said Whartnaby.  “He has an impressive sales and marketing background that will help us to implement our strategic plan and tactical objectives in Canada.”

King will have overall P & L responsibility for the Canadian branch, with an emphasis on improving market share in the foodservice market segment, as well as looking for new customer segments that can match Component Hardware’s varied production capabilities to customer needs.

King comes to Component Hardware after spending the last four years as Vice President of Sales – Canada at Swish Maintenance Limited, the largest janitorial distributor in Canada with locations throughout the country where he had responsibility for a 40-person sales organization and direct engagement with large strategic and national accounts. Prior to that, King was a partner at a local manufacturing rep agency and was the Director of Marketing – Facility Supplies at Veritiv (formally Unisource).

King has a BA in Economics from Trent University and is a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association and a former Ontario Chapter Chairman of the Canadian Sanitation Supply Association.
